Vasectomy Reversal

A man who has had a vasectomy can undergo vasectomy reversal in order to restore fertility. Successful pregnancy (75%) rates are best if reversal is done within ten years of the vasectomy. This surgery is done in an operating room with discharge to home on the same day as surgery. The surgery is performed with a surgical magnifying glasses or microscope. The two layer technique is probably the most effective procedure to re-establish the flow of sperm through the vas deferens.  The procedure is much more tedious and takes much longer than the vasectomy did. This procedure is not covered by insurance.
